The shop at the Old Fire Station, situated at Gloucester Green, has a range of locally produced products including original prints, illustrations, jewellery, cards and home accessories. Once you have hit the shop, why not head down to their Café for a well deserved hot drink.

Maybe not an alternative spot for Christmas shopping (the market has been around for over two centuries!) But we love walking around the Covered Market at Christmas time. With so many independent stores inside, you could do almost all of your Chrisrmas shopping there under one roof.

Just tucked off Cornmarket Street, down the side of the St Michaels Church is the St Michaels Fair Trade shop. A fantastic store that‘s full of fair-trade clothes, homeware, gifts and food & drinks. They also stock a number of superb handmade Christmas decorations during December.

Comma have turned the upstairs of Darn It & Stitch into a pop-up shop/Christmas grotto for the festive season. There will be the usual great gift ideas alongside Christmas Tree decorations, cards and wrapping paper.
The pop-up store is open from 3rd to 24th December, Monday-Saturday 10am-5:30pm and Sunday 12-4pm.
