Halloween is lurking just around the corner so we have put together a list of frightfully fun Halloween events that are taking place in Oxford!

Remember, you can travel to all of the events listed using our spooky city services!

Trick or Treating at Oxford Castle Unlocked 26th – 31st October

A ghoulish line-up of inmates will be locked up in the old cells of Oxford’s former prison this Halloween to put the fun and frights into trick or treating at Oxford Castle Unlocked. Visitors are invited to don their Halloween costumes and dare to knock on the doors of the creepy inhabitants for a scarily good treat – safe in the hands of the attraction’s resident tour guides who will make sure the experience is one to remember!

Time: 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm & 7.30pm 
£5 per child/adult

Spooky Tours at Oxford Castle Unlocked Every Thursday throughout October and November (excludes 31st October)

Discover the sinister side of the castle and its residents held here by delving into the darker side of its history. Your tour will take you to the most haunted areas of the Castle site including the dark atmospheric 900 year old underground Crypt. Can you hold your nerve?

Halloween Ghost Tours October 27th  - November 2nd

Enjoy a Halloween Ghost Tour departing outside the Trinity College gates on Broad Street. Tours are great value and last approxiately 1 hour 15 minutes.

Time: 4pm & 7:30pm
Price: 9.50 per adult, £8.50 for students/seniors and £4.50 for children under 16.

Flash lights at Ashmolean Museum 31st October & 1st November

Find out about lights, lanterns and lamps around the Museum and make your own Diwali lamp or rangoli pattern.

Time: 1-4pm

Magic, Murder and Mayhem Tour at Oxford Official Guided Walking Tours 27th October

An alternative tour of Oxford to find out about secret societies, alchemists, martyrs, traitors, rogues and criminals. Discover too, one of the world’s largest collections of amulets, talismans and magical items.
