Summer in the City recommendation #2 – London Transport Museum

London Transport Museum explores the story of London and its transport system over the last 200 years, highlighting the powerful link between transport and the growth of modern London, culture and society since 1800. The Museum presides in an old Flower Market located in the Convent Garden Piazza where they care for over 450,000 items – preserving, researching and acquiring objects to use in our galleries, exhibitions and other activities.

As well as exploring the past, the Museum looks at present-day transport developments and concepts for urban transportation in the future, which includes a contemporary collecting policy for the benefit of future generations.

The nearest Underground Stations to the London Transport Museum are Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Holborn, Embankment and Charing Cross. Holborn is easily accessible using the Central Line when you alight the X90 at Marble Arch. Please ensure you check the TFL website prior to your journey for Underground closures.

The Museum does not sell one day tickets, instead you can pay the one off price of £15.00 for an annual pass admission so please retain your tickets for future use.
