Over the last year, Oxford Bus Company have presented 159 pubic service vehicles (PSV) for MOT tests with the Driving Standards Agency (DVSA) with only one failure, resulting in a 99.4% first time pass rate.
This is a remarkable achievement when the industry average is only 81% (2011-2012 figures). These vehicles are prepared for testing at Cowley House by the engineering team and tested every Friday on site by the DVSA examiner.
The team was on target to hit the 100% first time pass rate milestone, but sadly two weeks before the end of the year, a number plate light unit failed on test which was unforeseeable. The fault was rectified quickly allowing the vehicle to obtain its MOT certificate.
Well done to the engineering team for their efforts to make such an excellent result possible. It is a truly great achievement!
